The Boston CASA Program(Court Appointed Special Advocates) recruits trains and supervises volunteers from the community to advocate for abused and neglected children. These advocates are appointed by the Judge as Guardian ad Litems for "Best Interest". These volunteers conduct an on-going investigation of the case and submit written reports to the court. The advocate also ensures that the needs of the child are met during the legal process. Volunteers must be 21 years of age and be able to commit 18 months to the program.
