The Mentor Program matches adults volunteers to youth who are serving time in Washington State Correctional Institutions. Mentors are asked to attend an 8 hour training and consent to a criminal background check. Mentors meet with their assigned youth for 6 to 8 months at the correctional institution then continue to meet with the young person once he/she is released from the institution.
