Human trafficking causes an extreme loss of personal independence and choice. Victims are told what to do, where to go, who to communicate with and are often beaten and/or purposely given drugs to control their behavior. Not every victim come from a Dysfunctional home. Some are lied to and manipulated by someone they trust, by someone they may call a "boyfriend".
