Last House on the Block (LHOTB Inc) is a Denver based 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that provides a variety of support to those who struggle with substance use and mental health conditions. Since 2001, our Recovery Center ('Clubhouse') has provided a safe, comfortable, home like environment, and supportive atmosphere in which people that strive to over-come addiction, alcoholism and mental health conditions where they can gather and connect with others with similar needs via support groups.

Last House host groups from all aspects of the recovery community which includes 12-step, various other support group entities, sober living home meetings, family groups and any other type of recovery group as well as their service structures. We host several gatherings a year to bring all together for support and create unity such as BBQ's, Art/Music Festival and Holiday potlucks. A unique fellowship exists at Last House on the Block and its groups.

The Last House community has been credited with saving countless lives and provides healing and hope to all 365 days a year.

Volunteer Information:

We are currently in need of Volunteers. Usual needs are cleaning. On occasion we also need people who can assist with daily operational tasks and as well as those who have trade skills. (e.g. HVAC, Electrician, Construction, etc.) Grant writing assistance is also an area where we could use assistance. *** Community Service Hours - we can usually sign off on Community Services hours to meet your requirements/needs. We are not on any official City/County lists yet, but Parole/Probation Officers will commonly approve.

Donation Information:

We operate on a month to month basis thus financially we are usually in need. In supporting the Recovery Community (Substances & Mental Health) we try to make keep our space affordable for Support Groups that utilize our location. We can accept donations in many electronic forms and provide tax receipts, please contact us for info. We need help to install a new programmable thermostat for our HVAC system (similar to a home) and occasion maintenance/repair of it. We are also in need of some construction material as well as skill trades people to help install. We currently have need for door trim for 6+ doors and have two 8\' tall support posts that need to be wrapped (not drywall). Hard flooring for a high traffic entry room, (160 sq ft) and a small meeting room 240 sq ft) that we would like to have carpet or laminate, etc floor as opposed to tiled. Long term there is approximately 1400 sq ft of cement floor that we would like to paint or epoxy, (tile, etc. could be an option but may not be a good option. Professional opinion needed). We have a few cabinets that need to be shifted, with Corian countertop that needs to be cut down in size.
