Friends of Iowa City New Horizons Band, Inc. was established in 2014 to support the Iowa City New Horizons Band and affiliated small ensembles. These instrumental music groups are comprised primarily of "chronologically gifted" (senior) adults in the Iowa City and surrounding communities. The band, and the small groups perform regularly, especially for frail elderly, shut-ins and at low-income residential complexes for elderly.
