The Calvin Woodland Sr. Foundation was birthed in 2000 by family and friends in honor of the Legacy of Calvin Sr., who fought for his community in Ward 8, of Washington, D.C. for over 30 years.The Calvin Woodland, Sr. Foundation is a community based non-profit 501c 3 organization that is committed to developing and imparting programs and services that remove the barriers that negatively impact programs and services of low-income residents along with providing activities and services for the children of Ward 8 communities and surrounding areas of Washington, D.C.In 2005, we expanded our services to an Adult/Youth Job readiness training program, and have been able to help place participants completing the program in very productive positions. Our Mission continues to expand as the needs of Ward 8 expands through empowerment and personal development of children and families.
