The 3 ensembles of the Bay Youth Orchestras of Virginia exist to provide gifted young musicians in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia a venue where they can rehearse and perform some of the world's finest musical literature an opportunity not available through other loacl educational institutions. Students receive regular coaching and sectional work provided by professional musicians from the Virginia Symphony. Membership in the Bay Youth Orchestras provides graduated stepping stones toward a lifetime career in music for some of the brightest young talent in the Hampton Roads Area. The senior orchestra
