Long Way Home was started in 2004 by a group of return Peace Corps volunteers who were not ready to quit fighting for the people we served during our service. LWH is committed to empowering youth throughout the Americas by fostering civic interaction and promoting educational opportunities through small scale community development projects. Our pilot project is in San Juan Comalapa Guatemala. We started building the ecological park in january 2005 and by all accounts are right on schedule. The park is ready for volunteers and interns to come share some of the opprtunity the Comalapa project offers.
