The Pushmataha County Literacy Council was organized to reach non-reading adults and give them the opportunity to learn the reading and writing skills needed to function in today's society. The Pushmataha County Literacy Countil assists by providing the following services: (1) One-on-one confidential or group tutoring. (2) Tutor training to anyone interested in helping people read better to live better. (3) Coordinates with local service organizations and libraries to facilitate tutoring programs in the county. *Is a member of the Oklahoma Literacy Coalition and Laubach Literacy Action.
