EMPOWER DALIT WOMEN OF NEPAL works to improve the lives of Dalit (low caste) women in rural Nepal by enabling them to fight for their human rights and raise their standard of living. We believe womens empowerment is the key to empowerment for the whole community. EDWON supports formal and informal literacy training which raises womens awareness and leads to the formation of autonomous savings groups. The groups in turn increase the womens social and economic status and inspire the women to initiate social change. EDWON is dedicated to human rights for all Dalits. In addition to supporting literacy training and womens savings groups
