Shan Orphan Support (SOS) provides material and advocacy support of orphans and children in the IDP (internally displaced person) refugee camps along the Shan border with Thailand and at villages & monasteries inside Shan State. SOS also assists the development of the school system. These children are surviving with minimal resources. Because of their legal and logistical situation very few organizations are helping. SOS is authorized by southern Shan leaders and works with/through a registered Thailand foundation. We are new (US non-profit corporate and 501(c)(3) applications pending) but we are delivering aid - food
