El Pobre de Asis is a binational non-profit animal rescue and welfare organization located in the coastal town of Puerto Penasco "Rocky Point" Sonora Mexico. Our mission is the following: 1. Create a partnership with the local government officials to propose and pass a law to protect animals. 2. Continue the existing spay/neuter assistance program with local and international veterinarians 3. Start a humane education program in the public schools. 4. Enhance and improve our existing shelter for homeless cats and dogs with a varitey of adequate and necessary facilities
