"A Voice For Those Who Cannot Speak" is the motto of the Chequamegon Animal League who owns and operates the "no-kill" Ashland Animal Shelter in Ashland Wisconsin. Our mission is to take in as many strays as our shelter will hold while fostering many in private homes also. All dogs and cats are examined and tested by a veterinarian and given their vaccinations. Every dog and cat is spayed or neutered before they can be adopted. Our ultimate goal is to achieve zero population for all dogs and cats by spaying and neutering every rescued stray before going to an adopted home.
