Humane Ohio operates a non-profit, low-cost spay/neuter clinic to serve pet parents, people caring for free-roaming cats, animal shelters and rescue groups. We serve all area pet owners, and we offer a special, even lower rate to people on Medicaid, Food Assistance, WIC, SSI, Section 8 Public Housing, the Heat Assistance Program and Ohio Works First (OWF). We have animal shelter and rescue group partners throughout seven counties in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan and we spay/neuter their shelter animals before adoption. The Humane Ohio Pet Food Bank makes pet food available to pet parents in need and to people caring for free-roaming cats. This program helps make sure that pets and stray cats in our community do not go hungry, it helps pet parents keep their pets even in tough financial times, and it helps ensure that people do not have to share their own meal with their pets and go hungry themselves.
