The mission of the Decatur Preservation Alliance is to connect our community through the preservation of Decatur's historic structures and greenspaces. The DPA was founded upon and is guided by the premise that preservation is about people. We aim to set the standard in metro Atlanta for progressive community groups to follow in using historic and green space preservation as a vital way to build neighborhoods and promote community health and cohesion. The D.P.A.s most valuable accomplishments demonstrate our contribution to the sustainability of Decatur as home for both long-time and new residents and for people of all racial and economic backgrounds.
