Amigos de los Rios is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization working to create vibrant communities by designing quality public environments. Our mission is to create sustainable open spaces, protect the environment, and strengthen community life to benefit current and future generations. Amigos de los Rios has a unique ability to pull together organizations from the public, private, and community sectors, and acting as a catalyst, we continually work to bring about the development of high quality green infrastructure to what were once vacant and neglected public spaces. Our projects impact many communities in East Los Angeles County (est. population of 3.5 million residents) providing residents with high quality parks and trails to enjoy and providing education on the rich natural and cultural history of the area. Volunteer Information: We have regular Volunteer Park Grooming Events and other opportunities for volunteers. A calendar of regularly scheduled events is on our web site. Can you make a donation?
