It is the mission of Metropolitan Homelessness Project to end homelessness in Albuquerque, on both individual and societal levels, through a unified voice of advocacy, prevention and service. Metropolitan Homelessness Project offers: •Overnight emergency shelter for 74 men •Voice mail service to any person who is homeless in the metro area •24/7 respite care •Veteran's transitional housing We have served over 4,000 unduplicated individuals, provided over 103,000 bed nights of service, helped 1,060 men exit into housing (31% on average annually), financially assisted 54 men with rental and/or security deposits and host a county-wide program (Community Voice Mail) that serves youth, women and men in need of free voice mail to help end their homelessness. Volunteer Information: In an effort to steamline and manage its volunteer outreach more effectively, Metropolitan Homelessness Project is hosting regular Volunteer Orientations every month. The event will be held the first Monday of each month from 3:30p-4:30p at 715 Candelaria Rd NE. The orientation is an opportunity to get to know more about MHP and to how to become involved with our mission to end homelessness in Albuquerque. For more information, call David Sisneros at (505). Metropolitan Homelessness Project needs donations. Donation Information: Metropolitan Homelessness Project's (MHP) donors are the lifeline for men and women in transition. When you give to MHP, you are investing in restoring the lives of precious people, each with a unique destiny.
