The Art Center of Waco is a 501(c)(3) organization that is "exclusively educational." As a non-collecting art museum located on the McLennan Community College campus in the historic, Mediterranean-style, William Cameron summer home, its studios overlook the Brazos River Valley, a beautiful natural setting conducive to creative learning and inspiration. ACW features quality visual art exhibits with its artists ranging llocal to internationally known artists including Kermit Oliver, Flip Kimmel, Steve McCurry, Linda Easter and a host of many others. Each year, the Art Center of Waco features the Waco's Own Exhibit bringing artists from the Waco area or who have ties to the Waco area. ACW enlists community participation in varied art experiences by providing educational art programs for all ages in the Waco/McLennan County area. Volunteer Information: The Art Center of Waco always needs volunteers to assist greeting customers in the gift shop, to be a docent to give school tours, greet visitors during opening exhibit receptions, assist instructors and students during Summer Art Camps and assist with a variety of tasks during our Fall Festival including work children's activity booths, assist with set up for the festival and clean up. Donation Information: Each exhibit requires sponsors and those who wish to donate may sponsor any part of an exhibit ranging from printing to opening reception food/drinks to scholarships for summer art camp, etc. Any and all donations are APPRECIATED.
