A Fresh Start for Single Mothers & Their Children~Tri-Cities

A Fresh Start for Single Mothers & Their Children Community Outreach Project was started in 2003 as a community support group for single mothers in Richmond, VA. It has since evolved into a structured program replicated in churches and communities nationwide. Our project currently has three chapters in the Richmond Metropolitan Area as well as Chapters in Arkansas, Florida, Mississippi, South Carolina and Texas. Our mission is to provide an environment of positive support for single mothers and their children from a variety of life situations such as divorce, never married, widowed and grandmothers raising grandchildren alone. We achieve our mission with the assistance of encouragers, local church ministries, community resources and volunteers who actively provide support and assistance with daily needs and challenges. Single mothers in our program will find Encouragement, Supplemental Support, Spiritual Enrichment, Education and a Positive Support Network of single mothers in our program. Membership is FREE and we WELCOME mothers from all socio-economic levels, races, ethnicities and religious/spiritual backgrounds. We are currently seeking enthusiastic & motivated persons who are interested in taking part in the start up our new Tri-Cities Chapter!
