The goal of Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity is to eliminate substandard housing and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action in our community. Almost Heaven Habitat or Humanity is one of over 1400 U.S. affiliates of Habitat for Humanity Iternational,an ecumenical Christian housing program that brings volunteers of all faiths and backgrounds to build homes in partnership with low-income families in need of a better place to live. AHHFH embarked upon the mission of eliminating poverty housing in Pendleton County West Virginia in 1988. Since then our organization has completed 33 new homes and 23 major rehabilitation projects but there remains much work to do. Pendleton County is rural and impoverished. The facts are indisputable.
